Why basements flood and why it lingers
Basements sit below the surrounding ground, which makes them the natural collecting point for water. Sump pump failures during heavy rain, backed-up floor drains, burst pipes, failed water heaters and groundwater pushing through foundation cracks are the causes we see most often in Hays, MT.
